The goal of the work is to develop carbon nanotube (CNT) cold cathodes for X-ray tubes used for medical diagnostics and therapy. Within the scope of work cathodes with emissive layer formed of carbon nanotubes on their surface by CVD have been studied. Being the catalysts for CNT synthesis, nickel, cobalt and kovar were used as the substrate. X-ray dose rate dependences on voltage and emission current have been acquired. X-ray images of various objects have been taken.
