The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of microwaves with the frequency of 2.45 GHz on the process of the garden cress germination. The study was carried out in 2017 in laboratory conditions. The study focused on seeds of garden cress (Lepidium sativum). The seeds, put on the Petri dish, were irradiated with 2.4S GHz microwaves for 5-15 seconds then germinated. It has been demonstrated that the irradiation of the garden cress seeds had a modifying impact on the germination capability. On the assumed materiality level the statistically significant influence of microwaves on the germination capability and the seed germination rate was not found.
