Helical polymers such as DNA and proteins are ubiquitous in Nature.These helicalmacromolecules play a key role in the elaborate functions in living systems.Inspired by thesophisticated biological helices,much effort has been devoted towards the development ofartificial helical polymers with a determined handedness induced by the introduction ofchiral groups at the side chains onto polymer backbones.The helical polymers providechiral binding sites that are applied for chemical sensing,optical resolution,and asymmetriccatalysis.
