In this project the current flow through the human body on two different paths was investigated. Simulations with the body model "Duke" were done, to determine the flowing electric current through the heart. The results of the simulations were compared to the results from the corresponding measurements with rabbit hearts, where the fibrillation threshold was evaluated. With the results of the simulations and measurments the external voltage level for heart fibrillation in the human body could be determined.
