Structural and Magnetic Properties of Cation-ordered Perovskite Structure Materials Containing A-site Iron

Materials which adopt the A-site-ordered quadruple perovskite structure with transition metal cations at the A' sites (Fig. 1), display intriguing magnetic and electronic properties. For example, unusual A'-site magnetism was found in CaCu3M4O_(12) with A'-site Cu~(2+) (S = 1/2) centers and the non-magnetic B-site ions M = Ge~(4+), Sn~(4+), Ti~(4+).[1]
