Designing and synthesizing the ordered light-harvesting π-systems composed of porphyrin-based chromophores as the building blocks are indispensible to mimic the natural photosynthetic antennas. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are one of the considerable architects to achieve this in terms of the synthetic versatility for well-regulated structures and the ease of surface functionality. However, improving the near-IR light-harvesting profile of the MOF-based materials still remains challenging for superior photo-functional applications.1
