Vanadium Complex-catalyzed One-pot Synthesis of Nitrogen Containing Aromatic Compounds

Nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds such as quinoline and phenanthridine are found in various bioactive compounds. Therefore, the development of facile construction for those molecules is highly required in organic synthesis. Recently, we reported vanadium complex-catalyzed dehydrogenation of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines to provide corresponding quinolines in aqueous medium.
