Singlet fission (SF) generates two triplet excitons from one photon absorption. This photophysical process theoretically enables to perform the sequential photo-energy conversion process from SF to electron transfer (ET), yielding the radical ion pairs at ~200% quantum yield. However, the high-yield intermolecular ET through SF is generally difficult to achieve for a few reasons.
