Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) technology gets proclaimed as the gift by Japan to humankind. Notwithstanding the recent promising breakthroughs, several hurdles, including the retention of epigenetic memory, need to be overcome before the possible therapeutic use of iPSCs. Among the several known methods, small molecules approach is the most preferred approach as they are easy to use and have better clinical prospects.
