Floods in the Republic of Serbia (2014): Response and Lessons Learned

摘要

The Republic of Serbia was affected by floods in May 2014. The level of immediate security threat imposed an obligation to the national government to use its armed forces, within a comprehensive effort to control the disaster, prevent even greater damage and protect human lives. Engagement of the army was significant and in several elements crucial for the success of the entire operation.
