Effect of influenza prevalence at weaning on transmission, clinical signs and performance after weaning

Influenza is an important respiratory disease affecting pigs. Pre-weaned piglets are responsible for maintaining, diversifying and transmitting the virus to other farms.' Sow vaccination is the main control measure to mitigate the impact of influenzainfections in pigs.However, there is a need to understand how prevalence at weaning can impact influenza dynamics after weaning. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of influenza prevalence at weaning on transmission, clinical signs and performance after weaning.
