摘要

In search of new phosphor materials in solid state lighting technology, Eu~(3+) doped Na_2ZrO_3 phosphor has been synthesized by solid state reaction method. The crystal structure, optical band gap calculation, photoluminescence (PL) characteristic and decay kinetics of the fashioned phosphors have been systematically studied and analyzed. The CIE color coordinates of as-prepared Na_2ZrO_3:Eu~(3+) phosphor locates in red region (x=0.6283, y=0.3628) with 98.46% color purity. The optical band gap for the pure and doped sample is estimated to be 3.24 eV and 3.30 eV respectively. Decay curve shows double exponential behaviour and the average lifetime is found to be 0.73 ms. The prepared sample may act as a suitable UV and n-UV excited red emitting phosphor for w-LED application.
