The crystalline samples of La_(0.67)Ca_(0.33)Mn_(1-x)Ni_xO_3 (x = 0, 0.05 and 0.1) manganites were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method. The analysis of X-ray diffraction spectrum of the prepared samples revealed the single phase nature of the samples possessing the orthorhombic structure with space group Pbnm. Temperature dependent dc resistivity measurements infer metallic nature of the sample with metallic to insulator transition temperature occur at 238, 204 and 187 K for x = 0, 0.05 and 0.1, respectively. The analysis for conduction mechanism revealed that the resistivity arises in the metallic region in the vicinity of T_(MI) arises due to grain/domain boundary scattering processes.
