High pressure is an important tool to study of material in respect of variation in interatomic distances, phase transitions and other physical properties. The pressure study of charge transfer complexes and radical ion salts provide us a better understanding about the effect of charge transfer forces, structural changes, formation of new ground states, suppression of Peierls distortions occurs particularly at low temperatures and the intra-molecular overlapping etc. in these materials. The pressure plays a significant role in bringing superconducting transitions in the organic materials.
