This paper introduces the revised Master of International Policy (MIP) Program at the University of Georgia (UGA). UGA's MIP Program has been in existence since Fall 2009 From Fall 2016, however, the MIP Program's special concentration in International Security and Non-proliferation (ISN) will have a core set of classes bridging nuclear technology concepts with nuclear policy from an international perspective. The MIP Program is not a traditional graduate degree Instead, it is designed specifically for future policy makers and analysts interested in international security and non-proliferation policy making and implementation The MIP's concentration on international security and non-proliferation is taught by security experts at the Center for International Trade and Security (CITS) -a non-governmental organization that was founded 25 years ago at UGA and works to advance international peace and security by promoting disarmament and reducing the risk of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and other dangerous weapons This paper will provide a detailed explanation of the MIP Program, why it is being offered, and our expectations regarding the program.
