The European College of Equine Internal Medicine was established in 2012 after full European Board of Veterinary Surgeons recognition in 2010. Since 2014, the ECEIM has had College-wide associate status with the ACVIM (LAIM). To foster the relationship between ECEIM and ACVIM, an ECEIM representative has given a talk at ACVIM as well as there being an ACVIM-ECEIM liaison committee, led by Dr Ben Sykes (Diplomate ACVIM-LAIM). This talk, by Professor Catherine McGowan (DipECEIM) will update highlightsfrom the November 2015 Congress in Utrecht with a summary of some of the latest research from Europe, focussing on endocrine and metabolic disease.
