Problems of alignment in Paraconc for a case study

摘要

By means of the case study of The Analects, this paper will mainly discuss the problems about using the translation study tool-Paraconc to align the texts. In order to make the study significant, a brief explanation of two different corpora will be mentioned and the mini-corpus will be characterized to a particular category. In the analysis of the problems in alignment process, the barriers will be categorized into two kinds which are technical matters and language problems. Detailed reasons and some solutions will be covered in the hope of contributing to a later more complex study of the same subject.
