Carbon nanotubes reinforced Al_2O_3/TiC composites were prepared by hot-pressed sintering in vacuum. The preparation technology and mechanical properties of Al_2O_3/TiC/CNTs composites were investigated. The results show that the phases of the composites are Al_2O_3, TiC and carbon nanotubes. The mechanical properties of Al_2O_3/TiC/CNTs composites are significantly improved compared with Al_2O_3/TiC composites. The bending strength is 556.19 MPa with the increase of 14.40%, the fracture toughness is 4.89 MPa·m~(1/2) with the increase of 10.63% and the hardness is HRA91.2 at the temperature of 1650°C for 30min with the pressure of 35MPa. The optimum content of carbon nanotubes is 1.0wt.% in this experiment.
