Determination of load and resistance factors without iteration, part 2: investigation of the proposed method

摘要

The following conclusions are considered significant: (1) Compared with the existing 3M method, the convergence of the proposed method is proved to be better in the calculation of the target mean resistance. (2) The proposed method can provides more accurate results than the existing method. (3) In the numerical examples, results of two methods are in great agreement. But the proposed method is considered more practical for its simplicity.
