摘要

Cervical cancer is the third most common cancer among women worldwide and is responsible for 300,000 deaths each year. Persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) is an essential factor for development of cervical cancer. Recently, microRNAs (miRNAs) have been studied as potential biomarkers that regulate gene expression and modulate several cell pathways associated with progression to invasive and metastatic disease, increasing tumor malignancy.
