This study develops a model to illustrate how organizational innovation climate (OIC) affects individual innovation behavior (IIB) in consideration of organizational commitment (OC), which can be divided into affective commitment (AC) and continuance commitment (CC). By employing a questionnaire-based data set of 715 samples, we find that OIC, OC and IIB are positive significant associated. Specifically, affective commitment (AC) functions as an intermediary factor that links OIC to IIB, while OC has no such effect. Our empirical evidences shed a new light on the understanding of the relationship between OIC and IIB.
