An investigation on psychological health education mode for senior nursing majors in universities

The research investigated current status of psychological health of senior nursing majors in a few universities and the extent to which importance was attached to psychological heath education in universities, and analyzed potential causes and discussed tentatively on how to establish a corresponding education mode. A random sampling method was adopted for the research, in which questionnaires were distributed among senior nursing majors and some teachers in four universities in Jilin Province and 564 from students and 76 from teachers were collected. The statistical results indicated that there was no significant difference on psychological health status between the students who made the nursing major as their first choice and those who didn't. The same discovery was also made on mental health status between those students who were satisfied or less satisfied with their nursing major. Therefore, a conclusion is drawn in the end that senior nursing majors and the teachers should enhance their understanding on the importance of psychological health education. At the same time, a high-level team of teachers in nursing major in universities should be developed so as to offer better service to senior nursing students in psychological health education. Finally, a more effective method should be developed for psychological health education of the nursing major.
