Hydrogen has gained attention recently because of its potential as an energy source, and its demand is continuously growing. As a process for purification of hydrogen, water gas shift (WGS) reaction is applied in the industrial field. Its main purpose is to remove CO from syngas, which is a mixture gas of hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), produced by steam reforming of hydrocarbons such as methane. The reaction equation is shown below.
