Influence of vegetated bed material on erosional patterns of meandering rivers: Preliminary experimental results

Morphological river changes occur as result either of natural or of human interventions so that alluvial meandering streams strive to achieve an equilibrium configuration. As it is well known the plane evolution of a meander wave is especially determined by the erosion processes at the outerbank.
