METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING RIVER FROM MEANDERING OF WATER, SCRAPING AND EROSION OF BANK

PURPOSE:To suppress the erosion of river bank due to meandering of river water by artificially changing the flowing direction of the river water. CONSTITUTION:Plural flow-changing guides 1 provided with plates 3 inclined in the face of the flow-down direction of water are set on the bottom of a river. The original meandering of the river water is suppressed by concentrating the main stream of the water flow on a fixed direction in such a way as to gradually correct it in the straight direction. When plural flow-changing guides 1 are settled and set at intervals in one line on the bottom of the river 10, the main stream of the river water collides on the plates 3 and is directed toward other directions to erode the left expanded bank L, and thereby soil and sand are gradually deposited on the eroded right bank R. Therefore, the curved part of the meandering area 11 is gradually corrected into straight form.
