Transversal studies on emerging European communication policy and journalism in Europe are quite few in number, while the approach to the journalistic practices of European member states is still very specific or contingent. In this paper, our aim is to conduct a comprehensive study of what are still the early stages of the concept of 'emerging European journalism' in relation to the concept of Europeanisation, with a specific bibliographical focus on journalism in the Central and Eastern European member states of the European Union.
