Cu-based alloys containing Ni and Si are well, called Corson alloys [1,2], exhibit strong agehardenability [3] due to precipitate hardening leading to strength levels up to 800 MPa together with ahigh electrical conductivity typically of about 50% IACS. Up to date applications in the electronicindustry, with smaller devices in size, require further strengthening with reasonable ductility whilemaintaining high conductivity. The intension of this research is to produce a multifunctional Corsonalloy by means of grain refinement and aging process.
