摘要

This study examined the morphology, composition and digestive enzymatic activity of the crystalline style of Saxidomus purpuratus in order to understand its chemical digestive mechanism. Clams used in this study were collected from Yeoja Bay in the southern seashores of Korea in May 2010. 50 clams with SLof 83.53±2.2 mm andTW 140.68±19.5g were used.The morphology of crystalline style was described under dissecting stereo microscope with the length measured up to the unit of 0.001mm and wet weight measured to the unit of 0.00 lg after extraction. The relative length of crystalline style (RLC) was illustrated as percentage of the length of crystalline style to shell length. Relative weight of crystalline style (RWC) was illustrated as percentage of the weight of crystalline style to body weight. Enzymatic activity analysis was carried out on amylase, cellulase, chitinase, laminarinase and protease.
