Adaptive Supply Network: How Nokia Absorbs Demand Shocks through RosettaNet and Modularity Design

摘要

This case study examines an innovative logistic service enabled by inter-organizational systems. It investigates how Nokia deploys Rosetta Net to share information within supply network and deal with demand shocks from various sources. Moreover, Rosetta Net-enabled partnership cannot be effective without the support of product modularity design. Theoretical contributions and practical suggestions are elaborated.
