THE STUDY ON EFFECTIVENESS OF BAMBOO CHARCOAL FOR IMPROVING WORK EFFICIENCY IN LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Because bamboo charcoal has high porosity, it is widely used in products to keep the room environment comfortable; e.g. wall material. We investigated the effectiveness of bamboo charcoal board for improving work efficiency in a learning environment. We set up two booths; one surrounded by bamboo charcoal boards on three sides, and the other surrounded by normal boards. In each booth, 11 subjects solved a numerical calculation, and we measured the time required and brain waves. The results suggest that in the booth of bamboo charcoal boards, subjects' brain activity became more active, but there were no significant differences in the task time or accuracy between the control and experimental conditions.
