Silicone (LSR) A challenging material for optical components(PPT)

The demand for better optical performance combined with new shapes makes the Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) an excellent solution to provide optical clarity, durability and design freedom such as to enable even the realization of micro-structures in compact shapes. LSR provides high temperature stability, 94% light transmission and excellent UV and blue light stability. As for the production process, LSR is processed by injection molding for the manufacturing of complex shapes, micro-structures and optical textures.
