摘要

Uniform flow of a viscous fluid past a permeable circular cylinder is considered. The flow across the surface of permeable cylinder is possible due to jump in the pressure at the surface. The flow pattern for the outer and inner regions of the cylinder is obtained in terms of stream function. The bounds for the permeability parameter are estimated. For various values of permeability parameter, the streamline pattern is drawn. The effect of permeability parameter on the drag is studied numerically and the results are presented in the form of graphs.
