Simulation and sensitivity studies for solar neutrinos at Jinping

Jinping neutrino experiment is a proposed 2 kiloton fiducial mass slow liquid scintillator detector located in China Jinping Underground Laboratory. The deep overburden of 6,720 w.m.e. and extremely low muon rate at (2.0±0.4) × 10~(-10)/(cm~2·s) at Jinping enables background-free detection from the spallation product ~(11)C. We performed a full simulation and free fitting for solar neutrino components and backgrounds at Jinping, and obtained the sensitivities for flux measurement, sterile neutrinos rejection, and day-night asymmetry. Further improvement from directional information reconstruction in slow liquid scintillator is also expected to enhance this study. The energy response of scintillation light is not linear at low energy, requiring strict non-linearity correction for neutrino energy reconstruction.
