Introduction

摘要

The Fifth International Symposium on Laser Interaction with Matter (LIMIS 2018) washeld 11–13 November 2018 in Changsha, a famous historical city of China. Thesymposium focused on the most recent and advanced issues concerning lasermatterinteractions; including laser irradiation effect and mechanism, laser plasmaphysics, laser spectrum technology and applications, high power lasers, nonlinearoptics, and laser processing and machining, etc. There were plenary presentationsby well-known experts, oral sessions, and poster sessions.
