Online condition monitoring for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converters are getting more important. This could be achieved by embedding sensor nodes for monitoring the critical Multiphysics phenomena that indicate the healthy conditions of the components as well as the system. To facilitate the sensor node development, it would be beneficial to investigate the environmental condition, to which the development of sensor nodes as well as the energy harvester is subjected. Analysis of the electromagnetic field as well as the ambient power source are the focus of this paper. Moreover, it is shown how the electromagnetic field and ambient power source would affect the development of the sensor nodes
