摘要

Reaction of rare earth chlorides with sodium orthophosphate was studied in molten equimolar mixture of sodium and potassium chlorides at 750°C. The rare earths studied included yttrium, lanthanum and all lanthanides except promethium. The molar ratio of phosphate to rare earth element in the reaction mixture was varied from less than one to ten. The effect of the reaction mixture composition on the composition, structure and particle size of the reaction products and completeness of the conversion of rare earth chlorides to phosphates was determined.
