The use of image-guided interventions for trauma patients has historically been reserved for diagnostic reasons; however, more recently, the use of image-guided interventions has become more regular in veterinary patients for the treatment of trauma patients, especially in an emergency setting.The areas of medicine receiving greatest attention currently are the drainage of fluids and the treatment of vascular trauma and bleeding.
