Assess cellular alignment on anisotropic sheets, seed cardiomyoctes. If able to align cells, print these surface topologies on 3D constructs. Patterning mechanical anisotropy to bias contractile direction. Seeding cells onto individual strands, possible bundles of strands. Further studies to understand how cells remodel high concentration neutralized collagen material. Dual material printing, lots and lots of possibilities here: - Alginate as an inert material; - Neutralized collagen as a mandrel for cell compaction; - Neutralized collagen to confine cells in 3D.
