Tritrichomonas, Whipworms, and Other Large Bowel Associated Parasites of Dogs and Cats

The parasites of the large bowel of dogs and cats that regularly cause any amount of disease are much rarer than are the parasites of the small intestine. However, two, infections with whipworms and trichomonads, are quite common and cause a good deal of disease or, at least, concern and consternation on the part of owners and veterinarians.
