Exploitation of malonyl and succinyl chlorides in the dimerisation of ortho amino stilbenes

摘要

The iodoaniline malonamide dimer, prepared by double acylation of iodoaniline failed to yield the stilbene dimer by the Heck protocol. By contrast formation of the amino stilbene by a modified Heck procedure followed by double acylation provided in good yield.
