According to the hydrodynamics effects of all kinds of low impact development (LID) engineering properties in the rainfall-runoff process and its conditions, 6 LID attributes indexes including transfer, detention, pollution interception, economic, feasible analysis, and landscape are proposed. In the specific project, 6 basic attributes indexes are quantified as specific scores based on their characteristics, then the degree of engineering implementations is aggregated as weighted averages of the corresponding surface types, so as to obtain a comprehensive evaluation in 6 attributes indexes and obtain the quantitative evaluation of LID combinations; finally, the paper would provide the scoring system of the effectiveness of LIDs in stormwater control engineering. In this paper, the study area is a small watershed in A City, Hunan Province. To judge the rationality and feasibility of this method, the attribute index evaluation method would be applied to evaluate 6 LIDs including pervious pavements, green roofs, sunken greenbelts, bioretention cells, grass swales, and infiltration trenches. On the other hand, the Infoworks Integrated Catchment Management (Infoworks ICM) is used for hydrologic simulation, and two indicators annual total runoff control rate (ATRCR) and total suspended solids (TSS) removal rate are figured out. Comparing the model result with the scoring system (especially the index "pollution interception"), it suggests a correlation study between the two methods. So, it is initially confirmed that the attribute index evaluation method proposed in this paper can provide the preliminary screening, which has a significant practical guiding for the project.
