Creation of Galvanotechnics - A historical review

摘要

The history of creating galvanotechnics in the 1800s-1920s has been traced on the basis of the three-stage system of developing new productions (laboratory research - technological process - large-scale production) and on the model of creating a new production when research directions (or traditions) intersect. The contribution of each of these traditions into the establishment of galvanotechnics as an independent area (experiments with metal electric deposition, technologies of metal coating deposition by different methods, theoretical electrochemistry, chemical electricity sources, electrical engineering) has been considered.
