PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a preview image in a portable terminal device by creating the preview image with the faster device between the portable terminal device and an image output device.;SOLUTION: An image output system 1, when displaying a preview image during performing an image output of image data on a display 44 of a portable terminal device KT before requesting an image output from the portable terminal device KT to a composite device MF while the portable terminal device KT and the composite device MF are connected by a communication line NW and the same image data is stored in the portable terminal device KT and the composite device MF, compares a device preview image processing capability from starting to create a preview image by the composite device MF to send the preview image to the portable terminal device KT until displaying the preview image in the display 44 of the portable terminal device KT with a terminal preview image processing capability from creating a preview image with the portable terminal device KT until displaying the preview image on the display 44 to determine which to create the preview image between the portable terminal device KT and the composite device MF.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
