Numerical Investigation on the Embankment Configuration for Cross Wind Stability of ICE3

Cross wind stability of the TSIHST reference vehicle ICE3 is numerically investigated for the six meter high embankment configuration. The focus of this numerical study is to investigate the sensitivity of the results on the embankment geometry and the position of the train on the embankment. This study is relevant as TSI HST does not explicitly specify the embankment configuration in the wind tunnel.
