LiB prices have reached levels, which enable further disruptive technologies (electronics, stationary, mobility). Silicon/graphite blend electrodes are reality and are part of the main stream LiB. The next challenge is to bring wt% of Silicon up to 50% starting from around 5%. Plenty of room for improvement for extended life time of cells with high Silicon levels: 1. Pre-Lithiation; 2. DoDs <100%; 3. Formulation optimization; 4. Electrolyte additives. Real life driving cycle testing necessary!!!!!
