Transient operations of Gas Turbines, such as power-frequency control, can cause flame instability phenomena which in turn can lead to accelerated aging of the generating units and increase in pollutant emissions, in particular unburned hydro-carbons (UHC), carbon monoxides (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
