The task of selecting and prioritizing requirements should be performed as efficiently as possible. Selecting the most stable requirements for the most important customers to be the first in the line of implementation in a software company can save resources since they are not likely to change. Quantitative methods have been used to solve this type of multi-criteria problem achieving good results. Verbal Decision Analysis can be presented as an alternative to assisting project managers in this task. This paper describes the application of the ZAPROS III-/method to classify the software requirements. A comparison is also made with the results obtained by the use of the NSGA-II metaheuristic.
