ANALYSIS OF WELDING ALUMINIUM PLATES BY FRICTION STIR WELDING

摘要

Friction stir welding is a solid-state welding technique that utilizes thermo-mechanical influence of the rotating welding tool on parent material resulting with monolith joint - weld. In particular, FSW can be used to join high-strength aerospace aluminium alloys and other high temperature metallic alloys that are hard to weld by conventional fusion welding. This work deals with the assessment of two aluminium plates using friction welding.
