A Demonstration of GeoRASS

A software for geo-reliability analysis on the stabilities of gravity walls and infinite slopes, named GeoRASS, is developed in Microsoft Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) with a main motivation to provide a user-friendly interface.For execution, schematic diagrams, input fields, functions for project-files reading/writing as well as single/batch processing are included in the user interface.There are two modules in GcoRASS, for gravity wall and infinite slopes respectively.In addition, the reliability analysis for infinite slopes can be approached via general or Green-Ampt methods.Based on Monte-Carlo method and the first-order reliability method (FORM), users are capable to estimate the failure probabilities of gravity wails and infinite slopes.The results are automatically output as.txt and.csv files.The goal of this article is to demonstrate the use of GeoRASS.
