摘要

Since its discovery in the US, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) has contributed to the loss of over seven million pigs. Translactational immunity is not well understood; however, it is believed to be critical in protecting nursing piglets. Therefore, the primary objective was to investigate whether sow colostrum antibody levels were correlated with preweaning mortality (PWM). The second objective was to determine the relationships between levels of anti-PEDV antibodies in serum, colostrum and milk throughout lactation.
